When the alarm is raised, we currently use a reliable network of pagers to reach our crews 📟 But it hasn’t always been that way... Every £110 we raise today could buy lifesaving equipment such as a pager for a crew member. ***A correction to some information in the video below: the phone app referred to is now in full use across the lifeboat fleet. Every year, around 1,200 lifeboat crew members train at the RNLI College in Poole, Dorset. The state-of-the-art Sea Survival Centre there gives them practical experience in sea safety and survival techniques.
