I've used your eyeshadow for many years. I'm a Woman of a certain age, so when I say many years, that's a long time. I don't know of a shadow thats better. At one time on your individual shadows in tiny writing, at the opening, it had the color name and said matte \nor shimmer. I recently replenished a few colors and I didn't know which they were, matte or shimmer, until I opened them. They were not marked which they were. Fortunately I only need to repurchase two more because they were not marked whether they were, matte or shimmer. It's impossible to tell which is which in the drug store. When I got on line to order the two correct finishes, I found that they are not iindicated there, either. Can you please tell me what to look for on your label that will tell me if it's matte or shimmer? Also, will you please tell me how to tell one from the other when I'm ordering on line?\nThank you, \nCathy

I haven't used it with primer yet, but I tried it on my lid - it's very pretty. Not too flat - not too shimmery. \nIt applied evenly even without the primer. My skin tone is cool, light white with pink undertones. I have blue eyes and blonde hair. \nI can't wait to play with it when I wear all my makeup. It's definitely worth the money. \nFor we more mature people, it didn't cake into my eye creases or make them more noticeable.

So just to give you a little insight on me. As a young girl I feel I love with Makeup! I would take every babysitting job to cruise the isle of a dime store or grocery store to pick my new piece of make up. Needles to say I have built a make up empire! I don't complete dolls or shoes. But I sink my feet in reviews and and info of other ways to bedazzle myself!\nSo how does that apply with this product? The first time i bought make up that had fading colors was a moment I won't forget. Alway is a product that hasn't disappoint me! I love this product! Some times I it like the rainbow, other times I just use the darker colors. And do on! Anyway..... I love this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked.up 3 colors one of them moca they are VERY CLOSE to colors I have always used. Dpnt be affraid to jump in it too me an hour in the store not wanting to waste money. I did Not Waste my money. Gave me a different kind of look. I looked better them I have in years. Gave me a much! Younger fresh look. I saw people saying they had used a certain color and type of shadow. I am Happy for the small change. I will get a few more colors can't wait to try so me new ways to apply. Love these new shadows love the way they make feel the way they go on is amazing. No longer a dry look and feel on my eyes.

After reading other reviews, I am glad to hear that I am not the only one who cannot find the original Earthly Taupe. Very disappointing! I have used this for a long time. It looks like you are losing customers because you did not produce anything that remotely is similar to this product.

The eyeshadow is fine, but I need the applicator to be included with the eyeshadow. It's very inconvenient to have to purchase a separate applicator and find a convenient way to store it. I'm very disappointed that applicators are no longer included with Maybelline eyeshadow.

this has nice pigmentation. Better coverage than a topper, BUT it is NOT vanilla. This is a sparling, bright sulvery white with a slight bluish undertone. I really wanted a vanilla or ivory to use as a base coat. So even though it's good quality, the color is inaccurate.

The color did not stay on long, like my others of this type have. The applicator disintegrated on first swipe of my eyelid, so must've been quite old. The price was high but wanted this particular color and brand. They sent what I ordered. Lesson learned. Thank you.

Earthly taupe was and still is my favorite. I bought 8 of them after I knew I loved it so I'm good for another year or two. Wish you would have warned consumers so they couldve stocked up. That's why I bought as many as I did. I knew you would stop making more eventually.

I like the plum color-it's more sparkly than matte finish. I thought it would look darker than it does on the eye lid. It seems to stay put for most of the day. It's very crumbly. Overall I like it-it was less than $5-so nice for the price. I'd buy it again.

It is close to the color I wanted, although on my eye lids it is a little darker than I would have liked. Also, it is a little powderier than I expected. Altogether, though, it is fine, and I was happy to find it at a much better price than elsewhere.

There used to be a small applicator in the compartment with the eye shadow. But it looks like it is no longer included in the compartment space. I used to use it occasionally if I didn't have a separate brush. I guess they are saving money.

Got this to replace an item no longer made. I was shopping for completely mat. This has a subtle sheen and suits my purposes ok. Use this as an all over the lid base coat color for pale skin with cool undertones. It's hard to find a very pale pink that isn't too yellow or beige. Surprised to find what I needed in this brand at Walmart after checking many sources and brands. Also a better price than others which were not really the color I wanted.

I use this everyday and I absolutely love this product. It has minimum coverage and it gives you a nice sun kissed glow depending on how much you put on. It is very very smooth. And all of the different shades of the skin tones all blend together to make the perfect shade. And I also like that how if you don't want the darker shades you can always take a small brush and. Pick out the light shades at the top and bottom.

Bring back Earthly Taupe!

So I'm not the only one grieving the loss of Earthly Taupe... I have tried all other similar colors from your products, and they don't make the cut at all. Too pink, too sparkly, too white. I also have used the powder highlighter from the Brow Drama Pro Palette soft brown and liked that, but I don't want to keep buying the whole palette just for the highlighter, and I can't find the highlighter sold alone. That has a nice, natural, not harsh look to it, like Earthly Taupe did, which is what I liked about both. Please give us some more natural looking options, or bring back Earthly Taupe or sell the highlighter separately!

I've been using Maybelline's eyeshadow in the shade *Linen* years, and I can't imagine my makeup routine without it. Linen is the *perfect* shade for the upper eyelid—subtle, clean, and brightening without being too stark. It blends beautifully with other colors and stays put all day without creasing or fading. Please, please never discontinue this shade—it's a staple I rely on every time I apply eyeshadow!

I can’t wear just any eye shadow- I have a skin reaction to certain colors. Maybelline has colors with a formulation that doesn’t cause a skin reaction- and they are affordable! I like being able to get the larger single size for the colors I actually wear. These may not be perfect for everyone, but I have to give it a personal five stars as my go-to eye shadow.

I first purchased this eyeshadow years ago and recently ran out. Since I was happy with it, I repurchased the exact same color. I use it as an eyeliner and have gotten so used to it that I no longer prefer traditional eyeliners. It easily washes away with water, which is exactly what I need for effortless makeup removal. A great product for me!

This eyeshadow has been my go to for years! I have incredibly oily skin and eyelids and this eyeshadow helps keeps my eye makeup stay put. I love how smooth this eyeshadow applies and the applicator is my ultimate favorite. I have been having such a hard time finding this at the regular stores. I hope they don't discontinue this 🤞

I got this after seeing an influencer use it online. It is a neutral shade and I use it both as a base or alone. It has some sparkle to it, but it isn't overly glittery. I am fair skinned so it is light on me but it would look lovely on someone with a darker skin tone. It is smooth and looks like it will last a long time.

I've used cosmetics at all price points and I've found that there are sometimes benefits to highly priced options. Not so with this eyeshadow. It compares favorably to eyeshadow that is 5 times the price. The color is a neutral that compliments your eyes without being to dramatic. Good for an everyday, natural look.

I really like these colors in this palette, and have bought this one many times. I only wish that all three compartments in the palette were the same size! The two smaller compartments always get used up before the bigger one. The price has also gone up quite a bit. Other than that, I really like this one a lot!

I've used these Maybelline eyeshadows for years and have no complaints. I use the linen color as an eyeshadow base and it works perfectly. They glide on effortlessly and the color stays put all day. I like to be these individually as I feel they last longer for me. Great price and value of the product.

Stays on all day, even in humid weather, and goes on nice and smooth. Read the reviews that you can dip your brush in water, then onto this makeup to use as an eyeliner, and it works. Does not smudge, great color for ivory skin, and affordable. Will go back and look at other colors offered.
