I bought this for my dad to cut shooting lanes for deer hunting. He used it for the first time this week. He requested that I write a review because he is very pleased with the saw. He found a similar one at another retailer, but it was more expensive and didn't come with the battery or charger. I talked him into giving this one a try.\n\nHe said the battery life is excellent. He used it for about 30 minutes, and it cut through smaller branches without any issue. On branches a little bigger, he used it on both sides of the branch to cut through it. He used it again when he got back home for another 15 minutes, still using the same battery, and it still had life when he finished.\n\nHe loves that it is lightweight (only 2-3 lbs with the battery in it). He is in his late 70s and has arthritis in his hands, which affects his grip strength. Since it is so lightweight, it is easy for him to hold and operate. It has a manual pump for the oil, similar to the bulb on some weed eaters. You do have to pump bar oil in manually as you use it, as opposed to the fancier ones that do that automatically.\n\nHe found the chain easy to tighten, which had to be done periodically. He was able to make that adjustment with just his fingers. It comes with a little screwdriver if you prefer to adjust it with that. \n\nHe said this is perfect for what he needs it for. He was manually pruning the branches before with a hand saw and tree pruners. This little chainsaw makes that job so much easier for him, as it will have to be done yearly.\n\nHe highly recommends this saw for older hunters who have arthritis. He is very pleased with this and surprised that it works so well for such a small price. It comes with a ton of accessories and a case, so you can keep everything together. He likes that it is easy to operate and is so lightweight. \n\nMy dad is not easily impressed, yet he insisted I go in and write a review on his behalf. He is old school and has a flip phone, so there was no way he could navigate the site to do the review himself. He gives this five stars!!

Pretty darn good. I'm single and never touched a chainsaw in my life so this was definitely the right one to start off with. After about 30-45 minutes of cutting, the the chain popped off. I could not figure out how to put it back on. Most of what I wanted to cut down was done so not a big deal. A neighbor helped put the chain back on but it doesn't cut the same now or really at all. I know it's pretty common for the chain to fall off but putting it back on is tricky and for whatever reason it just doesn't tear through the trees and bushes like it did. Again, this is my first power tool and it was really cool how much that thing took out. Probably like 20 little trees and bushes. Pics show the super tiny “trees” I cut but there were much...

The saw is powerful for cutting smaller branches and limbs and it cuts well. I have used it twice so far and so far okay. I like the saw as It comes with 2 batteries and 2 chains as described. \nHowever it came with a small one page instruction not in English I am not sure what language it is written in?? I am familiar with chain saws so I could manage, but for a first time user it would be helpful to send a better instruction written in English primarily for safety reasons. In addition the chain becomes loose after 2 to 3 cuts of small diameter of 1 to 3 inches??

I wish I could figure out how to get replacement parts for this because the only reason why I didn't have five stars is because the bulb cap just popped off where the oil goes and now I can't find it in the leaves and I can't figure out how to get a replacement part it shouldn't pop off that easy cuz this isn't the first time it's happened

This is a great landscaping tool. As a 70 year old, it's so much easier and faster than using lopping shears or a saw. The fact that it comes with an extra battery replacement chain and other accessories makes this an incredible deal. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the position of the safety button and power switch, which makes it a little awkard for one hand start up operation, particularly if you have large hands. Even with that, this chainsaw is rapidly becoming one of my favorite, goto tools.

As someone with an AC joint separation injury and a neck injury, i struggle to still do what i was before. I can not use a hatchet, machete, chainsaw, or really do anything that can have an impact on my shoulder and neck unless i want to be useless for a day or two.\n\nHowever, this little chainsaw has changed this. I love it. My husband laughed when i bought it. But we decided to go out and use it and see how it fared against some trees. I tried it against a seasoned log of maple, and to my suprise, it bit right it and cut with ease. Not only that, but there was barely any vibration to it for me. My husband used his chainsaw and cut a standing dead, and i used this thing to cut off the smaller limbs, and it was very quick with it.\n\nOverall, i did not wake up with pain after using this, which is the whole reason for buying it. It came with two batteries, an extra chain, a set of gloves, safety glasses, charging cable, and screw driver. The only thing i can say i would change is the charging cable set up.

My likes. Price, for around $38 you get t a lot of extras such as chains, chain bar, two batteries, gloves, etc.. Next, I like the construction of the saw, particularly the chain guard. I can't atest to the durability of the saw because I have not used it for its intended purposes as of yet. I will provide an update on its performance once I put it to work but for now , I am pleased with my purchase.

I liked the saw overall. It was a good deal, 2 bars 2 saw blades, well built saw. I cut with one battery for about 30 minutes, mostly lighter brush. It used a lot of power to cut four inch diameter branches, so battery didn't last as long. It also overheats and cuts out for a short time. For smaller jobs it is a good tool , light weight and easy to use. nice accessory saw to have.

Bought this little chain saw to remove a small tree on my property. Right size for my needs. Reading the reviews other customers mentioned not to try forcing the chainsaw but let it cut through the limb gradually. Even going slow, the saw gets stuck in the limb. Would still recommend the purchase for those who don't have many limbs to remove or just small limbs. Easy and compact.

Battery life seems good for the tree trimming I am doing. Chaim does not have enough cutters on it to do a smooth cut. Unit bounces up and down as the chain hits the cutter and then the low space between cutters. The unit is too small to hold with two hands safely. Small is light weight but holding with one hand it is hard to control. Cuts look like a beaver chewed it up.

Lightweight, easy to use, 2 rechargeable batteries (and charger). I used it to cut about 200 linear feet of tree limbs - ranging from 1" to 8" in diameter - into 15"to 18" lengths. I had to recharge the batteries several times - but that was no problem, as I had to recharge myself every 15 minutes! [I am an 82-year old man, so a beer and pee break is needed every 1/4 hour]. The saw stops if it gets too hot, but you can let it sit for 5 minutes and continue. The manual does not give clear instructions on how to adjust the chain's tension. But there is a small cross-screw below the blade for that. The unit comes in a handy plastic carry case, with a spare chain. The chain I used is still as sharp as when I started. The carry case also includes is a pair of adjustable protective glasses and gloves, and the tools needed to adjust tension. A great little saw. I recommend it - especially for the price.

Exceeded my expectations, easy to use. I cut a 4" thick branch as well as smaller ones. It works best if you place the bottom of the housing against the branch you are cutting, Not as versatile as a larger gas powered chain saw, but capable. One drawback I noticed was that the chain oiler did not deliver oil to the blade, I had to manually apply the oil.

this is a great and cheap product IF YOU USE IT FOR WHAT IT'S INTENDED TO DO. generally i buy stihl products. the equivalent stihl product (gta26 tool 2 batteries 2 chains charger) would be $250-ish. this one is ~$40. if you use this to prune, and just prune (~1"), and not try to cut down trees or cut off/cut up 5" tree limbs you'll be very happy. i'll admit in advance when you take it out of the box it will appear to be cheap, platically, and not robust. well, it does the job it's intended to do even though all those are absolutely true. a plus over the stihl is it's 6" and not 4". if you want something super robust you can use to cut down trees as well as prune get the dewalt dccs623b 8" pruning saw. but this one will set you back $350 if you buy it now as one of their christmas special packages. as usual, match the tool to the project.

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Brad
Instructions could use a sentence or two about how to adjust tension of chain. I finally figured out on my own to simply loosen the locking wingnut, turn the adjusting wheel to tighten the chain, lock wingnut. I used it to cut down several 4" dead trees in my backyard. Works great for small jobs! Impatiently used uncharged battery with initial 40% battery, which only lasted about 10 minutes. But lithium batteries tend to last longer in the 100% to 50% range before dropping off quickly below 50% battery. So I anticipate it should last the estimated 2 hours on a full charge. Having two batteries included is a huge plus. Nice convenient carry case holds everything except the quart of chain oil I will need to get. Included 1/2 ounce bottle of oil was enough to let me play with my new "toy"on Christmas day!
