This is my 3rd OfficeJet....
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·CBpro
This is my 3rd OfficeJet. I love the color photo print quality. I hang a lot of my artistic 8x10 photos. However, set us is different now with the OfficeJet Pro 9015e. You must download the HP setup app. Getting the app installed & getting the new printer to communicate with my local WiFi did not go smoothly. Once I got everything working, test prints of photos & documents were great. Now the printer CONSTANTLY GOES OFFLINE WHEN NOT IN USE. Okay, but the power button doesn't bring it back on-line. So I have to unplug & plug in the printer, then it prints fine. And, the printer cartridge or scanner tracks back & forth randomly any hour of the day & night. Since the office is next to our bedroom, this paranormal activity wakes us up. So judge for yourself if this warrants 4 stars.

Printer is great! In fact, super great! Fax is not intuitive. Copier is fine, once you figure out where to put what you are copying. Problem with the fax is that it is not intuitive. When set to auto, dialing up the receiver on an attached phone (because the receiver has to transfer the call to his fax), and receiving the receiver's fax tone, pressing the fax button on my machine will not make the fax go through. \nSecond problem. We have an answering machine set for the 4th ring. The fax is set to answer on the 6th ring if it detets a fax tone. The fax still overrides the system even though the incoming call is not from another fax. \nI formerly owned an HP 3100 and never had either of these problems with it. So much for updated technology!

I just replaced my HP 1200, and 3 other tabletop consuming devices, with the 3055. I like it very much and have had no problems with ANY of the features. I do a lot of graphic work and like the print quality for a "work" product. The scanner & OCR function are a little tough to figure out at first. I use it with an "old" version of ULead. A better instruction book would help... HP!\nBob

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this printer because it has all the features I desire. In particular, it includes a female RJ45 connector enabling an ethernet connection. This enables me to disable my wifi modem when I wish to more securely print. It also provide 2-sided scanning. This enables me to scan or copy a two sided document without having to return to the printer to manually reload (and reload correctly) the second side of the pages. As I now find I scan more and print less, this feature becomes increasingly important to me. The printer cost me a bit more, but hopefully I will amortize the increased cost over a few years and I definitely appreciate having all the features I missed along the way.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this printer...and I've owned a large number of them over many years. It's reliable - the easiest to set up of any printers I've owned thus far. The print is clear whether black and white or color, the double sided printing saves paper, the scanning screen is easily accessed. I love that it's not so wide and doesn't have any pull out bars for the paper to rest on after printing (that then gets broken when I close the door to the cabinet if I forget to push the pull out bar back inside. I appreciate having the legal page print and scan capability. It also wasn't too heavy for me to pick up and move and although that shouldn't matter normally, it meant I wasn't dependent on another to help me put it into place.

I purchased the HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 All-in-One Printer about a month ago. It is very easy to use with very fast printing. I installed the printer as wireless. I was concerned that it would be difficult and would need to be re-installed many times from dropping out contact with the router. Wireless printers are much better these days. The HP printer was very easy to install and has not dropped out at all. The display panel is extremely easy to use. It is much easier to print to a USB storage device. Color and black and white print is execellent. Very pleased with this HP printer. I am a very pleased HP user.

This is the best all-around multifunction I have ever used in several small businesses and a home office. The HP 3055 is well-featured with high print quality and fast printing, copying and faxing. The upfront cost is reasonable, especially considering the longterm savings in laser versus injet multifunctions. I have used HP inkjet multifunctions. No comparison, except for the color which I didn't expect from this unit (nor do I need in a multifunction). Toner cartridge yield is excellent. Speed is superb. Functionality is intuitive. Thank you HP!!!!! My only request of HP is that they provide more frequent rebate opportunities.

Great fit for my accounting home office. All of my clients are paperless now, so the scanning feature is a must. Fast, efficient and intuitive. And the HP Instant Ink program option is a cost-effective no-brainer. This HP was an upgrade from my HP OfficeJet 8620, and definitely worth it: quieter, better paper feed (especially for two-sided documents), and new design means no more printed pages falling to the floor.

It remains completely stable while printing and, so far, as worked well with a variety of paper quality. I am very happy with this printer.

I have been an HP customer for over 30 years between laptops and printers. This printer is as good as any that I have ever used. The tech support was also good. The PROBLEM IS: why should I need the HP tech support to start using the machine? Not only I needed to call the tech support, it took them nearly 30 minutes to get it going. Realize that I am fairly tech savvy. Whatever happened to the "PLUG 'N PLAY" technology? To that extent, I am disappointed.

This printer would be getting rave reviews from me if it came with Vista drivers. Microsoft made Vista prototypes available back in 2003 so that vendors like HP could get ahead of the curve and have drivers ready by launch or shortly thereafter. Now Vista's been out for six months and here I've shelled out $500 for a device that won't performed as advertised. I can get it to print using the HP Universal print driver but don't have any scan functionality. Terribly disappointed.

The 9025 fails in comparison...
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·STLConsultant
The 9025 fails in comparison to the 8610. It is not nearly as solid of printer in weight, structure, etc. The noise level is much higher than the 8610. Prior to purchasing I contact HP to determine what printer replaced withe 8610. I was directed to the 9025 as the latest version. The features are consistent with the 8610; however, I feel that is cheaply made. The noise makes it impossible to print while on call, as I have it placed on my desk.

Very Fast & Reliable, but maybe not for photos
Reviewed on www.bestbuy.com·LivingTheDream
Like many, I needed to replace my Photosmart Printer, which I loved dearly. I measured the footprint of my old printer and decided that the OfficeJet Pro series would fit in the footprint, but would be taller depending upon the model that I chose. I ultimately decided upon the OfficeJet Pro 8730 instead of the 8720 because the pages per minute was faster. It is very fast. Others mentioned that it was really heavy if they had to clear a paper jam. I'm a very short female and I don't find it to be that heavy. Out of the box I set it up and could print without even installing the driver, but I installed from the disk for scanning. It prompted me to chose the online version rather than the disk, but that didn't work so well and I ended up using the disk. When I first scanned I was NOT impressed. There was a clicking noise, the bottom of the page was smeared and the quality was BAD. The clicking and smearing I solved quickly by just flicking the little plastic guides on the feeder with my finger. I contacted HP customer support via chat, gave them control of my computer and they installed HP Scan and Capture. This made the scan quality 1000% better. This printer is probably 8 or 10 inches taller than my Photosmart, but that didn't matter to me. I love that it spits the paper back in, instead of all over the floor. It is very easy to make black & white or color copies. It lets me copy double sided and change the size ratio of the copy easily. My old printer had Efax capabilities, which apparently HP doesn't include in any of their printers now. I was a little bummed that it won't fax without a dedicated line, but I literally fax twice a year and I can use a free fax from computer for that. I love that it holds a whole ream of paper and that I can load legal paper if I need to. I will mention that after you get the printer set up the screen still has a sign in function. If you try to sign in it asks for PIN and you might be baffled because you didn't set up a pin. After researching this I found the purpose is if you are using a lesser secure WPS router for wireless you can use your WPS pin from your network to sign in - instead of the way you already connected to your network. Connect wirelessly and ignore that sign on. I'm printing to my OfficeJet from 3 computers, without issue. I printed a picture from my phone and I'll say that's a little awkward and the quality is questionable. With my photosmart I could leave a few 4x6 photo sheets in the dedicated slot. With this printer you have to remove the paper, move the guides, then on the screen modify your paper type before you send the photo from you phone. When you put the paper back in you have to do the same process to modify the paper type back to 8 1/2 x 11. I don't print many pictures so I'll deal with it. I'm going to also mention that I'm trying the HP instant ink. I bought a "card" at best buy that came with 1 free month. The printer itself came with 3 free months. I set it up by using the card to "enroll" for the 300 pages per month, when I added the printer it automatically added 3 monhts and I figure that 5 months will give me time to figure out how many pages I really need. I also learned that Costco and Sam's sell cards similar to the itunes cards that let you basically prepay your HP instant ink account so that it won't ever charge your credit card monthly. The first free month arrived in a box, but I'm still using the starter cartridges that came with the printer. Also, I'll note that the HP guy told me to save the install cartridges and remove any ink from the printer in the event that I move.

My expectations were high and it's been a little disappointing in small ways. It wasn't clear how to adjust the paper tray for different size paper. And it's tricky to get the tray in and out of place. Also, I use a heavier paper that would get jammed. The tray that receives the finished print is not big enough. I think a large number of copies might fall off.

The HP OfficeJet 5610 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Reviewed on www.ebay.com·C5gLUSjdT7e@Deleted
I was looking for a total solution to replace my scanner, fax and printer in my home office environment. Winning a refurbished 5610 was the best answer to my situation. The refurbished all-in-one carries the same warrantee as a new unit but is significantly less expensive. It installed in a matter of minutes and was straight-forward to operate.\n\nI do have one dislike and offer my suggestion as a product improvement to HP. Normally, I turn off all my office equipment when finished. It is necessary to leave the printer powered up at all times to receive faxes. There should be a stand-by mode using minimum power. When receiving a fax, there is plenty of time during the initial rings to bring the 5610 out of standby, receive the fax, print it and return to stand-by. In this was the 5610 need not be fully powered at all times.
