Amazing value for money
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Safflowers
I bought this some months back. I like to use products for a little while before posting a review, because sometimes instant reviews can be a knee jerk reaction and items need to be given sufficient applications to give it fair and objective feedback.\r\nI used to spend silly amounts of money on expensive high end brand quads. Until I found the pigmentation of some other brands, some of which are so affordable and easy to find in drugstores! I must admit elf is a new brand for me to test, and so far I've been very impressed with most of the products I've purchased, with very few exceptions.\r\nEven the skin care is affordable and the ingredients are not that bad. I am a convert. \r\nSo back to this palette. I was not expecting much, but I find that I reach out for this palette the most. Applying eyeshadow is not my forte, and this is very blendable, the pigment is insane for the price, and there is not much fallout. \r\nIt is not as long lasting as other shadows, but if you use a good eye primer, it does help.I mean, for that price, you can forgive this..\r\nRecommend!

I bought all 4 of these palettes, and this one is GORGEOUS!!!! It has the perfect mix of shimmers and mattes, and the colors are SUPER pigmented! There is a matte white shade that is a great matte brow bone highlight, a shimmery beigey-champagne shade which is perfect as a highlight on the inner corner or all over the lid, a shimmery yellow-gold which is great all over the lid or if you want a very gold highlight shade, a matte pinky nude which is great as a base before applying colored eyeshadow, a warm shimmery pinky brown that is beautiful all over the lid, a shimmery burnt orange that is simply gorgeous, a cooler brown with gold sparkles, a matte neutral brow, a matte neutral brow with pink sparkle, and a matte dark brown. I can create gorgeous eye looks with this, and if you build up the shimmery shades, they become very metallic and foiled which I love. These eyeshadows stay almost all day on me, though i would say to use a primer. I just love the colors here, they are gorgeous and i can create endless eye looks!

Alright, so this palette is...
Reviewed on www.ulta.com·May12erf
Alright, so this palette is one of those drugstore finds that actually delivers way more than you'd expect. It's got a really solid mix of mattes and shimmers—nothing too wild, just super wearable shades that work for everyday or a little weekend glam.\n\nThe texture is surprisingly smooth for the price point. The mattes blend easily without getting patchy, and the shimmers have enough payoff to pop without needing glitter glue or anything intense. I usually use a brush for the mattes and tap on the shimmers with my finger for max shine—it works\n\nIt's definitely beginner-friendly, but honestly, even if you're more into makeup, it's nice to have something this versatile that doesn't take up a ton of space. It's the kind of palette you can toss in your bag and know it'll cover you for both chill and dressier looks.\n\nIs it the most pigmented palette in the world? No. But it's consistent, it's easy to work with, and the tones are super flattering. Basically, it's a great little workhorse.

I have had a couple of these pallets over the years. I prefer the one that have some shimmer and smoky shades. Here is how I use this to last at least 14 hours. I get up early for work and manage to do this wile half asleep. First, elf eyeshadow primer. Elf has room for improvement with this product but it does the trick. Next, no budge liner on top lid. Then, layer two matte shadow shades on lid up to brow. Then a dark but not darkest shimmer shade high above the crease, in the crease and outer corners (I'm 57 and have to place shadow to work with my aging eyes). Finally i go over the liner with a little brush using the darkest shade and then use that color to line below too. Voila. Stays all day on oily aging eyelids. Takes about 5 minutes or less to put on. At about hour 12, I might have one creased line. I blend it with my finger and im good to go. Why am I telling you all this? In case there are any middle aged ladies considering this product, I want to share my experience. :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These eyeshadows were purchased for a young teen who is learning to use makeup and I think they were especially ideal for that circumstance. The colors are all soft and harmonious and they appear similar on the lid and in the package. They are soft and easy to blend and the glitter is subtle and not too messy.\n\nMy only dislikes are that the packaging seems kind of flimsy and that there is nothing extra in terms of mirrors or a brush or anything. I know this is an old person observation, but I am bothered by how little care seems to go into packaging these days. I was concerned I would snap it just getting it open, that is not ideal. Otherwise, it seems like a good value for the money, and the flimsiness of the packaging while not ideal does seem to be in line with the cost.

Favorite Palette
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·virulent
I bought the Mad for Matte palette maybe a year or two ago and since then I've also purchased and used all similar elf eye shadow palettes (Need it Nude, Rose Gold, and Prism) and this one is hands down my favorite. No, there is no shimmer or shine and yes, all of the shadows are matte. \r\n\r\nI pair it with elf primer and elf mist & set spray (another product I can't live without now!) and it lasts me the entire day. It does not come with any makeup tools (such as brushes). \r\n\r\nThe colors give me a more natural look that can still be very alluring without being overwhelming. I use almost every color depending on what matches most with my outfit that day aside from the grey that's second from the right. I will say that the black on the right could be a bit more pigmented, but sometimes I layer it on top of pencil eyeliner to fade it out and add a thinner, more refined gel liner on top of it.

If you are a fan of shimmery, frosty shades the Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette is right up your alley. I am more of a fan of matte colors and about half the palette does have some natural matte shades. I have hooded eyes so I am careful not to go overboard with any shimmery, frosty shade above my creases because it just makes my lids look too puffy. I use the shimmery shades mostly in my inner crease area and sometimes under my browbone but generally stick to the medium matte shades for my lids. The colors are long lasting and there is minimal fall out. The pans are small but work with any sized eyeshadow brush (wish one had been included along with a mirror!). I used primer on my lids and that helped extend the color all day (about 7+ hours).

Really powdery shadows
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·arcadiarose
I was excited for this palette, as I had bought and loved the Mad for Mattes palette. This one is nowhere near as good, unfortunately. The biggest problem is that these shadows are extremely-powdery. I used a primer and tapped off my brushes first, and I still had tons of fallout. The darker colors had the worst fallout. If you use this palette, I recommend using primer, doing your eyes before your foundation, and powdering heavily around the eye area first, so clean-up is easy.\n\nThere are several nice things about this palette: The pigmentation is very good, and all the colors blend easily. There is a nice variety of shades of cool-toned nudes, browns and grays, allowing for a variety of looks from natural eyes to intense smoky looks (please see pictures). Despite being a cool-toned palette, the colors did not turn muddy on my fair skin. They lasted all day over primer (I did not test without primer, as I have oily lids). These shadows did not bother my sensitive eyes. Packaging is sleek and sturdy enough that it survived a drop, and the mirror is large. It does not come with any brushes or applicators.

This is an amazing palette, especially for us "mature women". There are no frosty shades, they are all matte and are very flattering colors. I think these colors would work for many complexions and eye colors. There is a large choice of colors and they go on very smooth and easy - a little goes a long way. I do not use an eyelid primer for everyday wear and this shadow palette still looks good at the end of the day. The shadows do not have a lot of fallout either. This palette lasts a very long time, even with daily use and it works for both day and night. Best of all, it only costs a very reasonable $10.00 - which costs less than even just 1 shadow pot of the premier brands. It is well worth is and I would highly recommend - I think you will be highly pleased.

I really do like this palette. Most shades have great pigmentation and feel nice. The second from the left shade I even like to use the 2nd shade as a highlight, the dark brown to fill in my browns, and one of the lighter browns as a bronzer/contour. The first and 4th shade though, are very light and have almost no pigmentation though. This palette is so perfect for everyday use, but it also has some shades that enable you to make your makeup more bold. The mirror however, sometimes gets cloudy from the product, and one of the shadows popped out of it's container. (use glue)

I was skeptical to buy a palette that seemed to look this small, but I am glad I did. It is like the holy grail of the ''no makeup'' makeup look. I bought the Nude palette and it has all the shades you need. I have a light complexion and there are colors that are lighter and many darker than my complexion, which is perfect for building depth! It is compact, yet holds so much product, for this price? This is a steal. Prep your skin, put it on and voilà. The colors have rich pigment, so much that sometimes I have to even it out on my arm before applying it to my eyelids.

I use this and the Mad for Matte palettes almost every day. The colors are great and they blend super well. One problem I do have is that the mattes in this palette are less pigmented than those in the MFM palette, which is weird. I'd assume it was the same formula but I guess not.\n\nThe rose shimmer fifth up from the bottom white matte is my absolute favorite shadow ever. It's pink enough to look feminine without looking artificial. If they had the rose shimmer in an individual pan I'd be so excited.

I agree with the one star review!! There is definitely a purple under tone rather than a pink undertone, especially the last two colors. The second to last is a very true purple and the last color is a cool way deep purple, not a maroon. Most likely not going to use the purple shades because I thought they were going to be brown.\nOverall I can see myself using this palette a lot because of the pinks and highlight shades. Just surprised/disappointed at the purple colors.

I've bought both Rose Gold and Need it Nude and they're both so pretty! I'm so much in love! Yes, the rose gold looks a bit of a cool purple tone at first and I was worried as I expect it to be warm rosy pink tone, but when I searched it, it's such pretty colors with such a warm tone! Smooth, not chalky, Great pigmentation and lasts long with primer :) Great for sweet daily looks, date makeup, and even a sexy smoky eyes with the darker shades. There's both matte shade and shimmery ones,, but not overly shimmery. Over all I'm so much in love with it!! I'm gonna stock it up :)

This is such a good little palette! It has everything you need for a day or night look. I love that it has cool and warm tones in light and deep shades, meaning you can go from an effortless office look to a smoky eye easily. Its compact size makes it easy to travel with too. It isn't the most pigmented, which I actually like, since it is super buildable. It makes it even easier to customize your look. The shades blend well and I don't notice any fading even when I wear it all day. If you're looking for a staple all-matte palette, you can't go wrong with this one!

I repurchased this palette because it was slim enough to carry in my purse, and I love the lightest shade which I use not only as shadow but as an under eye setting powder. What happened to the mirror?!?!? I can't carry my new one in my purse now because you took the mirror away. SO disappointing! I'd pay more if you kept the mirror. \r\nThe eyeshadows themselves are nice and long lasting.

The photo below was done without shadow primer. \r\n\r\nIf you are looking for one and done colored shadow then this isn't for you. You will have to build up the color. I use this palette for beautiful transitions when I am using pigmented color shadow looks. So you can either use them as your go to transition color looks or build up the product to use it alone for a bright color looks.

This palette is great for its darker colours; the oranges and browns are pigmented, build-able and blendable. The two lightest shades don't really do much, but the rest are long lasting and soft. Great for a deep peachy smokey eye. My only complaint is that the powders are very easy to break or even fall out of the palette; so be careful of that. Overall, really recommend.

I love elf palettes. I really don’t think you can go wrong here. The price is perfect and the quality and longevity of the product is consistently awesome! I bought their original Mad for Matte palette awhile ago and I did realize some of the colors are identical in the palettes. I was a little disappointed, but they’re neutral colors that go great with any look, so I don’t mind having a couple of the same shade. Fallout is minimal too! Overall, I love the palette and high recommend to anyone with any budget!

A palette full of transition colors....
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·cassand
Cons: If you have a darker skin tone than tan....don't bother using this as your primary palette. Most of the colors look wash out or muddy on my skin. The blues and blacks look near identical and the green looks more blue. Also, those two orangey browns? Don't bother looking for them. They're gone! Applying with a brush was more trouble than it was worth. Finger swatches are what I included in the photo.\r\n\r\nPros: It's good if you're other palette is full of glittery/shimmery shades and you want to switch up your look once in a while. Also, good if you do the same eye look everyday. Great if you like something very casual/natural. Think of no makeup, makeup look. For the price, I don't know what I expected.

Use the palette almost everyday when I'm wearing makeup and some colors here as transition shade whenever I go for a super full glam look, they look on point. The shadows blend beautifully, the pigmentation is very nice, not super super pigmented but packed a very good amount of color payoff, very build-able. The palette is very travel friendly so highly recommend. In love. Will repurchase this product again.
