Due to my constant allergies, I suffer with tearing and sensitivity in my eyes and this makes me leery of using eye products. I can honestly say that I have not encountered this problem while I have been using the Almay Smoky Eye Trios. There is no itchy feeling or tearing, which is also quite an accomplishment for me. There is neither redness nor swelling associated with the allergies when I use the Almay Trios also, which always happens with my allergies. Using this product and not having any allergy symptoms is probably the first time in a long time that I have not suffered using eye products.\r\n\r\nThe trio that I am using is Mulberry Moonlight. The three colors in this kit are a shade of mulberry for the lid, a darker shade of purple for the crease and accents and an off white for highlighting.. Now I am not a whiz at doing creative makeup, but I love these three shades. They are very versatile and go with a lot of the colors that I wear. Also, I have been told it really makes my eyes look bluer. \r\n\r\n You should have no problem taking off the eye shadow. I personally use Dove soap to wash my face and gently use a face cloth around my eyes. Every now and then, I may need to use a Q-tip, but that's all. I am really pleased with my Almay “Smoky Eye Trios” and highly recommend it to you, even if you don't have allergies. This product should work exceptionally well for everyone!

I would recommend this trio of colors for someone with light to medium skin tones since these colors go on pretty light.\n\nI used the top color to also highlight the inside corners of my eyes and near my brows. I used the bottom color to also soften my lower lash liner. Obviously, the middle color is for the center of your lid. The middle and lower colors look great by themselves if you're not wanting the smoky eye look on any given day. This eyeshadow is hypoallergenic and suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.\n\nSee pictures below for more detail. I took the picture before I applied it to my eyes so that you can see the pallet of colors against a white background to get a true sense of the colors.\n\nI would recommend using an eyelid primer before application if you want this to last longer throughout the day. Without a primer, you may get creasing of the shadow and it will fade off throughout the day.\n\nI'm sure I will get plenty of use from this smoky eye trio. I don't like my eyes to look overly made up, so this pallet works well for my desire to have a softer natural look.

I have never really been into makeup but I like to play in it based off some things I see on pinterest and facebook and many other sites as well as makeup artist. Therefore I selected Almay Smoky Eye Trios, Lavender Haze through the Wal-Mart Spark Review Program. Lavender is my favorite color so why not select this item and try the smoky eye. These colors in the lavender trio go really well to me. It is very easy to apply and the packaging is nice. I am dark skin so I always wonder what will and will not show up on me. I had to apply different layers to get the look I was going for. It is also very easy to get off with either a makeup wipe or some soap and water will do as well. I have played in a lot of eye shadow trios and I have yet to fall in love with any of the others like I have for this one. It is just so pretty to me and I am steady trying to exceed the smoky eye effect to my liking. This trio is something that I highly recommend for all. Yes yes yes try this trio. You might fall in love with it as much as I have.

This particular Almay Smoky Eye Trios is the 040 Lavender Haze. It is hypoallergenic, ophthalmologist tested, suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers – according to the label. The colors in this are: for the lid – dark grey, crease – lavender (almost dusky lavender, not bright or light) and for the upper lid – light grey. It is easy to use pressed powdered eyeshadow. It comes with a sponge applicator in a hard plastic case. The colors are in the shape of where you are supposed to apply them, which gives you what looks like more of the dark grey than the other two colors. It may just be the difference in the shape of the colors, but it certainly looks like more of the dark grey. I have not had any issues with the application of these colors to make the smoky eye effect (not always easy if you are real coordinated with these things). I tend to have sensitive skin and it hasn't posed any problems – no itching, no breaking out, no actual eye reactions. I'm not used to wearing such a dark colored eye shadow, however, it looks pretty good. I would definitely recommend this eyeshadow and tell the person or people to have fun!

The Almay smoky eye shadow trio comes in a variety of colors, but my favorite are the neutrals. The combination of colors in this trio are very well matched to compliment each other. I love eye makeup and I am constantly looking for something new that works with not only my age, but skin tone and this trio works well for me. The biggest color on the pallet looks like a copper color, but when applied on my eye, it is not orange at all. It is more like light brown with just a hint of a copper color. The colors also blend very well with each other. I did have some shadow fall on my face, but that is normal with any eye shadow that is in a powder form. I also used a wet sponge applicator to apply the eye shadow and the color was much more intense. If you are looking for a very intense smoky eye look, you would have to apply several times, or try using it wet. If you are looking for a very neutral soft look, this trio will work very well with just a light application. I would recommend this product to any age as you can increase or decrease the look that you are wanting easily. I am anxious to try additional color combinations.

Product was received free in exchange by the Sparks Review Program for a free and honest review. I normally don't wear eye shadow because of have drooping eye lids because of my age. However, I liked the color and decided to try it with mixed results. The eye lids were a problem but was able to sort of compensate for it. The color under the brow was gorgeous and highlighted the brows, the middle shade (kind of lavender) worked well in the eye crease and the darker pewter shade of gray did highlight my lids but since the lids are so pronounced, didn't last long. This is not a product I would wear all the time (unless I get my eyelids fixed), but it is good for about an hour of enhancement. These days, that's about all I can stay out for anyway!\nAs an aside, a friend of mine (whose eyes are also green and who doesn't have the same problem with her lids) used it for her 50th reunion) wore it and got rave reviews. She said it also lasted about three hours. Just an FYI.

Almay Smoky Eye Trios, Smoldering Embers\r\n(received from Spark Review Program)\r\n\r\nI picked #020 Smoldering Ember color.\r\nA nice blend of tan/brown neutrals.\r\nThe palette is designed to show the user how to apply the colors on the eyelid. It comes with a small application brush.\r\nThis color palette was a similar color to my complexion so it didn't have that “pop of color” when I applied it. The two darker colors blended too well and I couldn't tell the difference. I thought it would go on a little brighter.\r\nThe top color- lighter color could be seen with at least two coats of application.\r\nIt is a subtle color palette safe enough to wear to work daily.\r\nI think next time I would pick a color much brighter or darker.\r\nIt is hypoallergenic for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.\r\nRemember to try to get a color that will be seen and blends well with your complexion. \r\n\r\nI would recommend for purchase.

I have no idea what color mulberries are; the moonlight is probably for the white section. Anyway, I've been using the same combination of browns and ivory for so long, I loved trying out something a bit different. The 3 colors are arranged the way you would apply them; the pinkish shade across the lid, the center one in the crease, the top white would go under the eyebrow, across the browbone. The colors in the photo appear white--brown--pink; they are actually more grey than tan and peachy-pink than just pink. The only problem I have is that there is one small applicator, and no matter how you do it, you'll end up with two colors on the same side, so they smear together. (I had a spare so I use it too.) Not a big deal, just a small annoyance. And I do like the colors, whatever you call them. They are a nice, subtle change from my usual browns, and Almay always makes nice make up.

This eye shadow trio is absolutely wonderful! It blends so well, giving it a sophisticated, professional look. I experimented and applied the shadow much more dramatically than i usually wear, and it still looked well-blended. The product is velvety smooth, and not powdery, yet it did not fade. \r\nThe most dramatic effect is how the shadow highlighted my blue eyes. Wow! I forgot how pretty they are! The colors actually brighten my eyes! The color coordination of the trio makes application fast and simple, yet it allows for creativity for both day and evening.\r\nI highly recommend this Shadow trio. The only issue I had with it was that I had difficulty opening the case at first. But I quickly learned to press my first 3 fingers on the seam where the top and bottom meet, then just push in. I do have arthritis, so this may not be an issue for others, and that is why I will give this trio a high rating.\r\nI have trusted Almay products for years, and this one does not disappoint!

I was really impressed with all you can do with just one palette of Almay Smoky Eye Trios. You get three different colors that compliment each other creating that really nice natural look. The very first thing I noticed was how blendable these colors were! I wouldn't say this palette is going to give you that sultry smoky eye look but it will definitely teach you how to play with building color, blend and create a 'look'. With the darker colors if you don't know what you are doing, you can give the look of a black eye which is not what you want. With this palette being earth tones and more neutral, there is room for learning. I chose to put the middle pinky color on my lid and the brown in my crease. I had to go over and over in the crease buliding the shadows until I got the color pigmentation I wanted. I found the shadows to be of good quality, they are smooth and the colors blended together well. All in all, this is a good palette to experiment on new eye looks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this eyeshadow very much! It’s quite different to the ones I have but I had always wanted to try these. I choose this color because I normally use two pallets to get the two darker tones. So I like that this small pallet combines the two and has a nice shimmer to it. My eyes literally sparkle because of the silver one on top. I like that it is a shimmery eyeshadow and not glitter because that would irritate my eye if it ever fell onto my eyes. The pigment is very light for medium color skin tones. The darker colors are not as dark as they seem but it works for me. None the less I like to wear this eyeshadow for evening night outs. I recommend this pallet only because it’s a good combination although I don’t guarantee it’s the kind that last all day.

I really liked the Almay Smoky Eye Trio, Lavender Haze color. The three colors consist of light silvery gray, light lavender, and medium dark gray. All three can truly be called smoky, as opposed to vivid. All three are also slightly metallic, providing some shine but not enough to look “cheap” or distracting. The consistency of the shadow is great: not too powdery so it drifts into my eyes, but with more of an ever so slightly creamy base to make application easy. Staying power is very good. I used the pale silver gray under the brow area, lavender on my lids, and the dark gray in the crease above my eyeball, blending and smudging this latter one to give that lovely enhanced eye appeal. It gives a great finishing touch to my “dress up” make up. Almay states is is “hypoallergenic, Opthalmologist tested, and suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.” I like that, and have confidently worn Almay products for many years.

When I got this, I thought it might be too dark on my eyes, but it isn't at all. It's actually perfect for my green eyes, somewhat subtle. Kind of a purple-pink main color which is never too much color. The highlight color is great and the crease of the lid color is not too dark, although you could put on more to make it darker. But you don't have to worry about it going on too dark, you'd have to put on several coats for that to happen. If you want really showy color, I don't think this is for you. The colors blend well together and do just what I want in eye shadows. I think this is going to be my go-to color palette from now on. It just goes with everything I wear and is perfect for daytime, church, etc. And, of course, it's Almay so you can trust them with eye makeup. I've never really used much Almay makeup, but lately I've been trying more of this brand and am finding that I really like it. I definitely recommend this.

This Almay Smoky Eye eyeshadow in Coppery Blaze color selection is absolutely beautiful! There are 3 colors - Smolder, Smoke and Sizzle that I think best match for brown/hazel/green eyes. They are very soft/easy to apply. This product is also hypoallergenic, which means it wont irritate your eyes or skin, it's suitable for sensitive eyes and for those who wear contact lenses. The only thing that I dislike about this product is that it doesn't stay on the eyelids throughout the day without fading. I like the eyeshadow that will stay on during the day without the fade, these unfortunately do not deliver the best results. I would say that after I applied them, the colors stayed on perfectly for about first 3 hours and after that they faded off and did not look as bright, vibrant and colorful as they did right after the application. I love the colors, they perfectly match my hazel eye color and I also love the convenient compact size and package, that can be easily taken on the go, but unfortunately the fact that the colors fade away after just a few hours of wear makes it very disappointing. If you work long hours or like the product that stays on throughout the day without fading away, this particular product is not for you.

Almay Eye shadows\r\nThis velvety and smokie soft trio shade eye shadow is so nice. I really love these colors and lasts along time. Great shades that look great and blend well. This trio gives me three great shades to wear each color separate or when dressing up to wear and blend all three together to define the eyes. It does come with a sponge tip applicator. This compact is a nice size to slip into your purse. I look for eye shadows that I can us a brush and water to apply wet, like water color, to the eye lid. This allows the eye make up to go on much lighter but still blends well and lasts just as long. I tend to rub my eyes a lot and this stays on all day wet or dry. For quick applications applying dry with the sponge brush is nice. These eye shadows by Almay are hypoallergenic and I really like this because I have dermatitis and have to be careful with what I use on my skin.

The name says it's Copper Blaze but the real color is more gold/brown which was perfect for me. I got this to wear to a wedding (I don't usually wear eye shadow). I love that all 3 colors come in one palette and all the colors blended together so well. The best part was that they stayed in place all night long. In the past I've had issues where the eye shadow cakes at the crease of my lid and fades as the night goes on. That was certainly not the case here. I wear colored contacts so that I can change my eye color and this shadow palette worked perfectly with my Honey colored contacts. I tossed out the other 2 eye shadows that I own because this is now the only shadow for me. This is not a matte shadow it has some sparkle but it's not so much that you couldn't wear it every day. I highly recommend this shadow. I might even get other colors and start to wear eye shadow again.

I was thrilled with the Almay Smoky Eye Trios in the color of Lavender Haze. In the palette you get three complimentary shimmery eye-shadows...a light grey, a darker grey and a lavender. I was quite impressed how just these three colors blended to make a delicate, sexy, smokey eye! The shadows went on smoothly and evenly. As is true to Almay, the shadows were perfectly pigmented to create that soft, feminine look. I liked that you could use less and have a day look or layer the color on to have that sultry, steamy eye! A real bonus is that these shadows are Hypoallergenic and velvety smooth! This is a must have item, trust me you won't be disappointed with this palette. My personal preference is with the darker grey on the lid, the lavender in the crease and the lighter greay under the brow! Gorgeous!

Not only is it easy to put on; it looks amazing! My eyes looked stunning! I’m not too great at doing the ‘wing’ look so this made up for it by really making my eyes “pop”! The brush is soft and the colors are awesome. I feel like there is quite a lot included as far as quantity wise to last a long time and I would definitely use for any occasion to do the “Smokey Eye” look. Even for beginners, it is one to buy as it pretty much gives you the layout to put it on your eyelids. I got lots of compliments from my husband and I can see why! It does a nice job and stays on! I highly suggest and give it a five star rating!

I really love a smoky eye! I have a lot of different smoky eye "kits" and I really liked this one! I loved that it had a purple hue since my eyes are green it really helped bring out their color. It's foolproof since the colors are sectioned in order of their application and it's in the shape of an eye. The eyeshadow went on easily with the enclosed applicator. I was really happy with the results! It's a beautiful smoky eye but isn't dark or heavy looking, perfect for day time wear. Can be worn every day and in every situation. The look is beautiful but more subtle that using blacks and grays for a smoky eye. It lasted my whole day and didn't wear off. I would highly recommend this to my family and friends. I'm very happy with it!

I was offered the opportunity to try the Almay Smoky Eye Trio (Copper Blaze) from the Spark Reviewer Program. I have used the Almay Brand in the past for eye shadow but had never tried the Smokey Eye Trio and had always thought about giving it a try. I like the fact that the container has three different shades to apply. First you apply one color over the entire eyelid , then apply the darker color to crease on the eyelid, and then apply the lighter shade up to the brow bone. This give a great effect and so easy to apply. I happen to have Brown eyes and i really think this product makes them stand out beautifully. It comes in a 1.4 ounce container, so it will last me a long time.\r\nI would recommend this product highly.

She uses it for a full face makeup everyday for work and remains on a schedule. If you love to play with eyeshadows and colorful looks and definitely don't stick to neutrals but don't always have time to spend 15 minutes to apply a precise and perfectly blended eye look, these trios are so easy to use. They blend easily with the other colors yet still maintain their own color. They aren't wildly pigmented so they are easy to use but they are not sheer either. You will get beautiful eye looks with these that you don't have to work very hard for. This will become a great addition to her collection.

What's “Old” sooner or later becomes “New” again in “Fashion and Makeup”! I'm glad to see Almay bring this trio package of colors back. It's been missed by me and my daughter. Having the 3 related but different shades of color in one package is really convenient and space saving in an already crowded drawer! \r\n\r\n\r\nThis eye shadow powder has three pretty smokey color choices, goes on smoothly and lasts all day. So simple to apply, and you can remove easily with simple gentle soap and water or your favorite makeup remover later when the day is done! \r\n\r\n\r\nI was given the opportunity to try this product in exchange for my fair and honest review. My daughter and I both recommend it and give it 5 stars.

These shades have minimal shimmer and the colors go great with a darker skin, or olive. You can do a smoky eye or just apply the eye shadow a little different for day time by using less of it.\r\n\r\n (The only thing that the eye shadow kits don't come with is enough sponge appliers. If you have 3 different colors then you should have 3 different sponge sides) . \r\n\r\nThis eye shadow stays on for many hours until you take it off. I do recommend this eye shadow.

I grabbed this years ago when I was in Highschool, its comical that I still own it. I haven't used it in years and clearly need to throw it away now but I do remember the formula being superb. Each compact came with 3 colors and showed you where to place each; which was really helpful for a beginner in makeup. With pigmented shades that all blended easily. To be honest if I was in a jam and needed to pickout a affordable drugstore palette again (colorpop not being an option) I would pick this all over again. Given that I used to hoard all my makeup in makeup bags and toss them around like they couldn't be broken, im surprised that it held up and never broke apart on me.
