The price was a little high for an older program but was very happy to complete the series in my collection.

If you're a fan of any Sherlock Holmes interpretation, or just the original stories, you will love this modern and updated version! The episodes themselves though brought into a modern setting feature many 'treats' for fans of the ACD canon and are as true to the stories as they could possibly be.\nThe acting on the show is phenomenal with Freeman and Cumberbatch effortlessly playing John and Sherlock respectively. The musical scoring of the overall series sets the right mood and it will be playing in your mind long after you finish watching the show! The directing and cinematography are all excellent as well. Truly, this show is overall a gem.\nThe DVD itself comes in a nice case with two DVD's, for three episodes. You get a few special features and two episode commentaries which are worth the listen to hear interesting BTS stories. Overall this DVD was well worth the price to add to my collection!

I bought this for my wife so she could complete her collection of Sherlock. She likes the newer version of Sherlock and would recommend it to any Sherlock Holmes fan.

Think again...Season 2 is where it's at!\n\nI'm not even going to review it...you just need to watch it because if I start reviewing, you might get spoilers, which would be a horrible, horrible thing and I wish that on no one!\n\nI just want to tell you this...count your lucky stars that you get to watch this season's finale and probably can get to Season 3's first episode within a day...when you watch the ending, you remember that there were thousands upon thousands of us waiting for 2 whole years wanting to know what the heck just happened....and now we get to find out tomorrow!!!\n\nGo out and watch this show! And buy the blu ray...you'll want to watch it over again and share it with your friends :)

Item arrived timely. A bit too tightly wrapped and was afraid opening might damage. Discs sound a bit loose inside and I'm saving this for an Easter gift so have to store it a month or so. Nice to have though.

I bought season one the week before, not knowing if I was going to like it. I was completely enthralled within the first 10 minutes. When I went to Best Buy to purchase season 2, season 3 was also available. I am glad that I decided to purchase both! Season 2's cliff hanger left me fumbling to go right into season 3! Great show! We need season 4, or at least a Christmas special!

Straight forward dvd. But the content! Best sherlock series! Forget Elementary, THIS is Sherlock for the present day!

I absolutely love this series it's fun, and mysterious. This show had me on the edge of my seat.

Wrote and directed by Sherlock enthusiasts, this BBC series is spectacular. I'm a Sherlock fan... but this brings him into the 21st Century like no other and does so keeping the heart and soul of the characters. Great actors, performances and cast! The extras are also great!

I've never actually read Sherlock, and I don't ever think I will. (Entirely) I don't really like mysteries, and I scoffed at this modern version of the old books. But I was urged by a cousin to watch it, and I finally did. It was the characters that really did it for me. When you see how Sherlock and John play off of each other, and how much they just really LOVE detective work...It's a beautiful thing to see. And how they showed the brilliance of Sherlock's mind is amazing. It's a great series for anybody that likes character development and drama, especially between two men. I find the BBC's updated version of Sherlock Holmes to be extremely amusing. If you've read the Doyle books, you can get a lot of little inside jokes in the episodes. The camera work is exceptional as well. I'm a bit addicted this show now, I think. The DVD's also have behind the scenes and special effects info. I'll definitely be rewatching both season one and two.

If you were a fan of the old Sherlock Holmes movie you will absolutely love the new series.

I have always been a fan of Sherlock Holmes stories, and I really like Benedict Cumberbatch, so this is a win win in my opinion. love the whole series. that is why I bought the DVD. You love Sherlock Holmes from the TV off PBS then you will love this.
